Acolytes play a vital role in the worship life of Saint Michael & All Angels, helping to lead the congregation in prayer and praise through their faithful service at the altar. This page outlines the responsibilities of the Flag Bearer from quick reminders to a full review of what to expect, how to prepare, and how to carry out this ministry with confidence and care. ​

Quick Reminders

  • Look at diagrams to know where standing

  • Flags are typically stored in the Sanctuary.

  • The CF is white and the ACF is blue.

  • The order of procession is PCX Team, AF, Choir, TF, CF, ACF.

  • It is best practice to hold bottom of flag at belt area and at an angle (if able)

  • The PCX signals the Acolytes whenever Acolytes kneel.

  • Be careful to lower your flag when you approach the Choir Loft.

  • When casually carrying the flag, do not carry it horizontally or behind you because it can hit someone. Always keep it upright!
